My name is Barb. I have lived in Alsip and been a member of St. Terrence since 1969. I went through Religious Ed, made the sacraments of initiation, and married my husband here at St. Terrence. I have 2 sons and a grandson. I have been involved with food pantry and I am also a Catechist. I am honored to be part of the Pastoral Council and look forward to learning more about the Parish and trying to fulfill the needs of the Parish. I have been a member of St. Terrence for over 10 years. In my former Parish I was a Eucharistic minister, a Catechist and member of the bake team. We provided treats for any occasion. My spiritual home is very important to me. I came to St. Terrence after I moved to Alsip. It was a snowy, cold day. My first impression of the Church was our Lord on the Cross above the Altar. The parishioners were friendly and I got to know them more by attending the 11.00 am Mass. Other family members have joined the Church since then. It’s a comforting experience and the Choir is simply great.
I am a widow and my husband passed away 10 years ago. I have a son, a daughter and three grandchildren. I retired from St. Xavier University 15 years ago. After retirement I was busy with family matters. I am excited to be part of the Pastoral Council. I like to see our Parish grow and bloom.
